What This Converter Does

Turn a Cube YAML model into an Apache Ossie definition that you can inspect independently of the original project. This page starts with orders, customers and a commerce view in a three-file bundle.

Source Format

Supported Cube YAML model definitions. Upload related files together, or choose a local folder while preserving relative paths. The workbench accepts up to 50 files and 1 MiB including UTF-8 paths.

Generated Output

An Apache Ossie model plus conversion diagnostics. Download the current generated files after checking how measures, dimensions and joins were represented.

Conversion Steps

  1. Inspect the three-file Cube commerce example or replace it with your YAML bundle.

  2. Keep Cube selected as the source and check any options supplied by the live catalog.

  3. Click Convert and compare the resulting datasets, fields, metrics and relationships with the Cube definitions.

  4. Resolve diagnostics, edit the generated model where needed and download it for validation in your Ossie runtime.

Review Before Using the Output

Cube project code is not executed. The YAML example does not establish support for arbitrary JavaScript model logic.

Compare join behavior, keys and aggregate semantics. Equivalent-looking fields do not guarantee equivalent metric results.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I import a Cube project folder?

You can upload a folder containing the supported model definitions while preserving relative paths. Import accepts up to 50 files and 1 MiB of UTF-8 content including paths. Supply the relevant YAML bundle rather than an entire application repository.

Does this convert arbitrary Cube JavaScript models?

This page provides a Cube YAML example and accepts the formats exposed by the deployed source catalog. It is not an arbitrary JavaScript execution environment; use supported model definitions and review the resulting diagnostics.

Can I also export Apache Ossie to Cube?

Yes, select Export from Ossie and choose Cube when that target is available in the catalog. The output needs destination-side import and execution checks before production use.
